SARAHMÉE_LOGO.png

Now a staple in the Quebec rap landscape, Sarahmée is making a remarkable comeback with her critically acclaimed second album, Irréversible.  Supported by the singles "T'as pas cru", "Freedom", "Ma peau" and "Fuego" – with collaboration by rapper Souldia – Sarahmée delivers an album founded on current emotions which are reinforced by polished flows and Afro rhythms.

After a remarkable performance at “La Fête Nationale” on the Plains of Abraham in Québec city, Sarahmée began touring at festivals. On the legendary radio Skyrock in Paris, Sarahmée was invited by rapper Chilla during her Planete Rap, and also performed at the FrancoFaune Festival in Brussels.

The first hip-hop artist to be named in the Revelation of the Year category at the Adisq Gala, Sarahmée participated in the opening number which was broadcasted live on Radio-Canada television.

In addition to performing, the songwriter earned a nomination to the Gala Dynasty, whose mission is to honor black excellence. This Gala closes Black History Month, for which Sarahmée acts as a spokesperson along with comedian Aba and Preach. This also earned her an appearance on the program “Tout le monde en parle”.

Steered by a strong message, Sarahmée proposes the clip "Bun Dem", which depicts the reality of African women by addressing the issue of forced marriage, while retaining hope and resilience as encouragement. The docu-video filmed in her country of origin, Senegal and produced by Caraz (Romeo et Fils), has been nominated by the Juno Awards in the category of Music Video of the Year.

An artist and a model, the rapper takes part in the advertising campaigns of Sephora, New Look, Fizz and Aldo.

Confirmed in the hip-hop environment and increasingly with the general public, there is no doubt that with her ten years of experience, Sarahmée has succeeded in establishing herself and leaving her mark in a culture still largely dominated by men.
